Dilemmata: Die Orgeluse-Gawan-Handlung im „Parzival“
Orgeluse, eine ‚Minne- und Ritterfalle‘, führt in Wolframs „Parzival“ die Kampfes- und Dienstregeln der Ritterwelt ad absurdum. Der Dienst des ‚Musterritters’ Gawan an Orgeluse wird zusätzlich noch durch ein Dilemma belastet: Gawan hatte bei einer Begegnung mit Urjans seine êre der Gerechtigkeit vorgezogen. Sein Minnedienst dient Wolfram zu einer Überprüfung der höfischen Konventionen: Die Stärkung der Handlungskompetenz der Minneherrin kann die Widersprüche der Systeme minne und rîterschaft auflösen.
In Wolfram’s Parzival, Orgeluse, a ‚Minne and knight trap‘, reduces the rules of battle and service to absurdity. The service which the exemplary knight Gawan gives to Orgeluse is further strained by a dilemma: on an encounter with Urjans, Gawan had given priority to his honour over justice. His Minne service is used by Wolfram to test the courtly conventions. The strengthening of the Minne lady’s part in the action is successful in resolving the contradictions between Minne and knightly duties.
