Faschismus, Destruktion, Utopie. Die Bedeutung von Ingeborg Bachmanns „Böhmen liegt am Meer“ für Thomas Bernhards „Auslöschung“
Bernhards Auseinandersetzung mit faschistischen Strukturen im Privatraum nach 1945 in der „Auslöschung“ ist in radikaler Weise pessimistisch. Durch die intertextuelle Allusion auf Bachmanns Gedicht „Böhmen liegt am Meer“ bietet der Autor jedoch die Möglichkeit, den Roman um eine utopische Dimension zu erweitern. Im vorliegenden Text wird die Bedeutung dieser Allusion im Rahmen der literarischen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Nationalsozialismus im Werk von Bachmann und Bernhard untersucht.
Bernhard’s reflections on fascist structures in the private sphere after 1945 in his novel „Auslöschung“ are radically pessimistic. However, by means of an intertextual allusion to Bachmann’s poem „Böhmen liegt am Meer“ the author allows us to open up a utopian dimension to the novel. The present article explores the significance of this allusion within the framework of literary reflections on National Socialism in the works of Bachmann and Bernhard.
